Sean walked into the living room, which was empty right now. That was a change. Sean was used to a place full of students, with someone playing checkers on the floor, someone else playing chess, someone on the couch making out, and a bunch of people just standing there flapping their jaws. Well, it was Saturday afternoon, and most people were probably going to be out to the mall or something. Well, Sean needed to think, anyway.
The problem was his sister. He hadn't seen much of her this year, they were on totally different schedules, but he had heard that she was in some sort of trouble. Naturally, Sean was very worried; he'd tried his best to be there for her so something bad wouldn't happen. Well, now he'd heard from many people that something bad had, and Sean didn't know what to do about it.
Perhaps the whole thing was a rumor. It was possible, and rumors did spread like wildfire at Minute Hill Prep, at least among popular jocks and cheerleaders. Kennedy hadn't had as much luck with popularity as Sean had, but that was only to be expected, seeing as Sean was going to Minute Hill on a sports scholarship and Kennedy an academic one. Still, what could happen to a good Christian girl who had received a scholarship for being an A student. It simply didn't make sense. She probably didn't flunk a class, probably wouldn't have gotten really drunk at a party, wouldn't be a drug addict, and wouldn't be pregnant. What could be wrong?

i dare you to move. EVERYONE'S WATCHING YOU NOW. i dare you to move. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kennedy Rose sighed quietly to herself as she got up off of her bed. She was currently up in her dorm, lately she was too much of a nervous wreck to really talk to anybody. Well, she had a pretty good reason. She had, had so much ahead of her. So many dreams, and plans, but they all seemed so obtainable after the news the fifteen year old had received. A few weeks ago, a night with her boyfriend had gone terribly wrong. Bandson had took advantage of the girl, even when she had tried to say no. He had raped her. And just when Kennedy thought she would be able to put it all behind her, she found out that she was pregnant. She had never been one to sleep around, so she knew who the father of her baby was. With this news, her world completely fell apart.
No one knew yet, although there were those rumors flying around. Apparently, Bandson had been bragging about getting her to sleep with him. When in fact that was not the case at all. Kennedy liked him a lot, but after what had happened. She didn't want anything to do with him. The rape had bothered her for awhile, she had always vowed to save herself for marriage and he went and completely through away all of her morals. That right there felt like her heart was being ripped out of her chest. She had sunken into a depression. Some of her friends had even claimed that she was losing her mind, and they had no clue why. She had thrown away her purity ring, or more like thrown it off a bridge. Kennedy had been suicidal for awhile, holding scissors to her throat in front of a teacher and snipping part of her hair off. But just when she had recovered without telling anyone, she got the news.
This news was the news that Kennedy wasn't sure she could deal with. There would be other guys, and God would forgive her since it wasn't her fault. But a baby?! Kennedy sighed as she walked over to her full length mirror, she raised up her shirt, studying her stomach. It had been three months since that fateful night. Her once flat stomach was now consumed by a small round bump. None of her jeans would no longer button, except for a few pairs. The fifteen year old brunette was scared to death. What was she supposed to do? She was fifteen! That was no age for her to be a mother! She was only a child herself. She dropped her shirt, she had to get out. Kennedy had to escape for awhile, so the small blonde exited her dorm room and made her way into the living room. All the while, biting her bottom lip. She tended to do that when she was nervous. When she looked up she saw the last person she wanted to see at the moment. Kennedy loved her brother, but she knew that she couldn't tell him the truth. She forced a smile, she would just have to act like nothing was wrong. "Hey Sean." she said, in her normal quiet voice. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sean looked up to see his sister. He had been worried sick about her, and either she'd been eating far more than usual, or there was more to those rumors than Sean had hoped. He tried to ignore it, but that was hard. Hoping the expression on his face did not obviously show his worry for Kennedy, Sean said "Oh, hey Kenny. How are you?"
What was the use? Kennedy would see right through Sean's facade of not being concerned. He was a terrible actor, and nobody understood Sean like Kennedy. Well, except for Rebekah, but right now Sean was worried about Kennedy, Rebekah was fine, and as long as Sean was with her, she was unlikely to have the same problem that it appeared Kennedy was having. Sean wasn't one to rape his girlfriends, for obvious reasons.

i dare you to move. EVERYONE'S WATCHING YOU NOW. i dare you to move. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Kennedy could read Sean like a open book, she knew him all to well. Which is why she knew that his act to act normal, was just that, a act. But yet it wasn't like she was going to actually tell him what was going on. She couldn't tell him. Their lives were already messed up enough, and this whole her having a baby at fifteen, could only complicate things further. But she did want some guidance, the small brunette had no clue what to do. She didn't know anything about having a baby! And to be honest, knowing something was growing and forming in the depths of her stomach, scared her to death.
Everyone had been looking at Kennedy lately, ever since the rumors about the rape and pregnancy had gotten out. She had been trying to be strong, but it was just so hard. Especially when she didn't have very many friends to lean on. Well, if Sean was acting, Kennedy would do it too. At least she was better at it than he was. "I'm fine." she said softly, forcing a small smile. "How about you?" she asked, biting her bottom lip, her eyes traveling down to the floor. Kennedy couldn't look him in the eye, for fear that something would slip out. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well, Kennedy would act better than Sean could, he'd have to give her that. Still, Sean figured she wasn't 'fine,' particularly because Kennedy wasn't looking him in the eye. Well, if she didn't want to say something, Sean wouldn't force her. If what he feared was true, which Sean couldn't guarantee, then the truth would be hard to hide after a few more months. Still, Sean was a bit to protective of Kennedy, so he worried just the same. But he would try to hide it.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Nice seeing you playing in the band at games." Football. Nice, harmless subject. Also one Sean could talk about endlessly. Even a jock like Sean, who hated partying and such, was still a jock. He hoped Kennedy would relax a little, she was being too tense.
