YOUR BRIGHT LITTLE SMILE DID IT ALL STATUS, finished, babe. WORD COUNT, two hundred and seventy-five LOOKS, right hereNOTES, open to anyone and everyone. The student lounge was empty. Though at nearly one o’clock in the morning it was hard to imagine it any other way. The room was so different in the quiet of the early morning, without the laughter of students and blare of the television. It was one of the reasons Allegra had sought out her place on one of the long leather sofas. The young girl sat cross-legged, a book perched in her lap, withdrawn completely into the fictional work of Mark Twain. Even if it was a cool night, the fifteen-year-old wasn’t able to turn down a good book.
She sighed quietly, following Huckleberry Finn from one page to the next. It wasn’t typical for her to be up this late, but something had kept the girl away from sleep that night. Hours ago she had pulled on a pair of grey sweats, twisted her hair up into a messy ponytail and arrived downstairs just as the common room had been clearing for the evening. No teacher had been by to wave her off to bed yet, and Allie was determined to take advantage of that for as long as she could.
The leather creaked under her as the girl shifted a bit, resting her chin on a balled fist. It was an easy for of entertainment for her, books. She could be just as content lost in the pages of a novel than anywhere else. Especially this late in the evening.

OutfitAmora wake up covered in sweat. It was not abnormal for Amora to have late night nightmares. Though tonight's nightmare seemed more real then the night before. So real that Amora could still feel the hands wrapped around her neck and arms as if they had just let out. She rubbed her neck and chin to make sure and sighed, her eyes covered by her new and approved Sleeping mask. Closing her eyes quickly knowing that the best way to get rid of a dream was to have other one. But as she laid there trying to fall back into fantasy. Nothing happened. Amora tried again opening and then closing her eyes with other long warm sigh. Her sleeping mask blocking all light from the small basic dorm room. Nothing. Nothing was working. Amora huffed lifting her mask over on top of her red flaming hair and slowly and quietly moved from her bottom bunk and out the door. Without a sound Amora tippy toed down the hall to the living from only the slightly whipping of her bunny slipper to company her. As she moved into the room and sat down on one of the lone chair she noticed someone across from her in the dark. Other red headed girl lost in a book, Mark Twain where had she heard that name before, In deep thought she could only think of one same little useless question to ask one little saying. Amora crossed her legs, Narrowed her eyes and asked " Is it any good?" braking the on going silence in the room. { Sorry I'm typing a little odd today don't ask me why lol }

YOUR BRIGHT LITTLE SMILE DID IT ALL STATUS, finished, babe. WORD COUNT, two hundred LOOKS, right hereNOTES, it's a little short, sorry. . Allegra had barely noticed she was no longer alone. The sound of a new voice tore her away from Huck Finn, leaving the boy paused mid-sentence as Allie jerked her head up. The thin, orange haired girl that was folding herself into the couch not far from Allie’s spot was not someone she recognized. But then again, being here only a short time, it was hard for Allie to really be able to say she recognized anyone. She looked a tad older than Allie was, though she couldn’t really take a stab at her age through the dim light. But Allie smiled at the question, putting her finger onto the page and slowly closing the book.
"It’s very good,” she told the newcomer matter-o-factly. “And a classic.” Mark Twain was a favorite for Allegra, his work always had been. She watched the girl for a moment, dress in pajamas and face pale with sleep. It did Allie good to know that she wasn’t the only one up so late this night.
"Have you read anything by him?” Allie held the book up, meaning the author.

Amora Jumped a little as the other girl spoke. She wasn't fully awake yet. She coughed into her hand and then smile. She could somewhat recall a class in English talking about him but his work were a little fussy. She could remember sometime about a boy and a fiance but other then that it went blank.
Amora laid back in her chair just nodding her head as the new girl talked. She yawned when she asked if she had ever read anything by him. " Hmm" She thought to herself puffing up the back of her hair with her right hand while blinked wildly. A long hard blondish red string of her own hair had attacked her eye ball with great evil force. It slightly watered as she left free hand moved the string out of way, making her sleeping mask move rather up her head. "hmmm" she said again. still thinking. " I don't believe so but I have heard of him though." Amora shrugged. " I don't read much." she admitted.
((Its ok I'm always short lol ))

YOUR BRIGHT LITTLE SMILE DID IT ALL STATUS, finished, babe. WORD COUNT, two hundred LOOKS, right hereNOTES, nothing right now. Allie nodded, a little disappointed. It had always been hard to find someone else who shared her love for books. She watched the girl blink tiredly, rubbing he eyes. She must have just woken up, while Allegra had not even attempted to sleep this night. She slipped her finger out of the book and settled it into her lap. The girl brushed at her grey pajama pants, considering what to say exactly. How long exactly was this girl planning to stay?
“Well, if you do ever want a book to read, Mark Twain is always a good choice.” She cleared her throat, looking away from the girl for a moment, reaching up to scratch the back of her neck. There was a moment of quiet, filled with the ticking of the clock hanging above the television across the room. It could hardly be considered a living room, Allegra had always thought. There wasn’t that comfortable, welcoming feeling. It was platonic and bland… She snapped herself away and back to reality.
“I’m Allie,” she said quickly, with almost a little too much force. The girl cleared her throat lighting, looking down at her own small, pale fingers against the maroon cover of her novel.

Amora saw the disappointed look on her girl's face. Amora had the abnormal skill of seeing the dark more so then others. She sighed again folding her arms across her chest and nodded her head once again. " I'll have to check him out next time I drop by the library. " Even though Amora didn't read much she did enjoy the Library at home. Here was other hand was abit spooky, the old lady there looked as if she was going to kill her or something... Maybe it was the hair she thought.
While Amora was thinking quietly to herself. The girl had said something that Amora had heard slightly but never registered in her mind intill about two minutes after it was already said by then the room had gone blank with the little noise at all " hmm? OH yeah, I'm Amora, Amora Alright" She replied with a smile. Sh reached out her hand for a shake but then waved it away knowing that they were to far Apart to try it and she didn't want her or her new friend to get up. " So are you new here?" She asked knowing that she had not seen her in one of her classes before or in the hallways or in once of her actives.

YOUR BRIGHT LITTLE SMILE DID IT ALL STATUS, finished, babe. WORD COUNT, one hundred and seventy-five LOOKS, right hereNOTES, sorry, lacking muse for this one right now. Raising a hand, Allie gave a muffled cough behind her fingers. She had never heard the girl’s name before, and it almost struck her as odd. But scratching the back of her neck, the young girl nodded politely. “Yeah, I am actually a freshman.” She hated that truth on the tip of her tongue. It was an embarrassment almost, though over the past month or so, Allie had done her best to try and convince herself that it wasn’t that big of a deal as she had been making it out to be. Amora probably wouldn’t think a thing of it.
The red-head across from her looked to at least be a year or two older than Allie herself. “What about you?” Allie asked, feeling the need to show some type of curiosity in the girl. The idea of being rude just didn’t seem fair, despite the hour, despite the book that seemed to pulse underneath Allie’s hands like a beacon.
Huckleberry Finn would have to wait just a little longer.

Amora yawned loadly as Allie answered. " Umm I see " She replied, She flipped up her feet on the side of the armchair, yawning even more. Amora sighed feeling a warm feeling as she felt that slight weight on her eyes. She might be able to go back to sleep soon thank god! but she didn't want to yet. She hadn't meet many people at school normally she kept her mind to herself and to her work so she never really sat down and talked to someone. for every long so it kind of felt good to have a real social interaction.
Amora looked back to the nice lady across from her and titled her head at her question. " Well I'm a senior, I moved here the end of my 2nd year, its a pretty nice place I guess. I do alot of actives and I work at Walmart... Do you work?"

The cool leather under Allie creaked as she moved just a little, unfurling her legs from beneath her and setting her novel to the side. Glancing at the clock, she was surprised to see how late it really saw. Amora yawned as Allie looked back to her, only confirming the late hour of the morning. If Allie had been smart, she would have been in bed hours ago. She ran her hand over the smooth cover of her book.
So she was a senior? The girl nodded as she listened to Amora speak. She didn’t seem to have a problem sharing about herself, a good trait Allie decided. “Do you work?” The question registered a few second later. Allegra quickly shook her head. “No, I don’t actually,” she told the girl. The truth was, she had considered a job, but her parents would never support their daughter working and going to school at the same time. Grades came first; her mother had always tried to instill that. And even with her mother two hours away in New York, there was still something that kept Allie from challenging her. She was learning to live on the fifty-dollars a month they sent her.
“It must be nice though,” Allie commented, looking again to the girl. “How long have you been working there?”

Amora yawn once more at the idea. She worked the night shift or the early morning shift and normally she would work intill morning but they only needed her for three hours in the day she was about to catch some Zs before everything but with her luck this had to happen.
She raised an eye brow Allie first comment ... it must be nice though..... She liked work but never thought of it as nice.. She once again lost in thought. Maybe it was her but that was happen alot tonight, maybe it was time she thought again almost missing her next question. " Oh umm the beginning of this year I think." she tapped her cheek thinking. " Yeah I think so. " She shrugged " It's work, It keep me busy... I do some actives to, like the school play,.. are you doing the school play?" She asked knowing she had yet to see her there but she thought she would at least ask just in case she missed her.
